This Privacy Policy explains how ClaimRight ("the App"), operated by Britannia Digital Limited ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information when you use our mobile application on iOS and Android.
ClaimRight is operated by Britannia Digital Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
We do not collect or store any personal data.
The App asks you a series of questions about your circumstances, such as your age, employment status, and housing situation, to estimate which UK government benefits you may be entitled to. These answers are:
We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any identifying information to use ClaimRight.
Postcode (optional): If you choose to enter your postcode, it is sent to postcodes.io, a free, open-source public API, solely to identify your local council. Your postcode is not stored by ClaimRight and is not used for any other purpose.
ClaimRight uses your answers to run a local eligibility check against publicly available UK government benefit rules. All logic runs within the App on your device. The results screen shows which benefits you may be entitled to and provides a direct link to the relevant gov.uk page where you can learn more and apply.
When you tap "Learn more on gov.uk", you are directed to the official UK Government website (www.gov.uk), which has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. We have no control over or visibility of your activity on gov.uk.
Because no personal data is collected or stored on our systems, there is nothing held on our servers. Your answers exist only in your device's temporary memory while the App is open and are cleared when you close it or tap "Start Again".
ClaimRight does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The external services involved are:
Because we do not hold any personal data about you, most UK GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) do not apply in practice, there is simply no data to act on.
If you have questions, contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
ClaimRight is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. As the App collects no personal data at all, there is no risk of children's data being stored.
ClaimRight provides benefit estimates based on the answers you give and publicly available UK government eligibility rules and rates (currently 2024/25). Results are indicative only and do not constitute legal or financial advice. Always verify your eligibility directly on gov.uk before applying.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the ClaimRight mobile application, operated by Britannia Digital Limited. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
ClaimRight is an information tool designed to help UK residents identify which government benefits they may be entitled to, based on answers to a short questionnaire. The App is provided free of charge to end users.
The results produced by ClaimRight are estimates only. They are based on publicly available UK government benefit rules and rates (currently 2024/25) and the information you provide. They do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, or a formal determination of entitlement.
Always verify your eligibility directly on www.gov.uk, or by seeking advice from Citizens Advice, your local council, or a qualified benefits adviser before applying for any benefit.
We make every reasonable effort to keep benefit rules and rates within the App up to date. However, UK benefit rules change frequently, typically each April. Britannia Digital Limited does not warrant that the information in the App is complete, current, or error-free at all times.
